Pinkpop Festival, or Pinkpop for short, is the most famous open-air rock festival. It will take place for the 42nd time at the beautiful festivalsite MEGALAND in the city of Landgraaf, Netherlands situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, 134 miles from Amsterdam (2 hours 45 minutes by train).

The Festival is held annually on the Pentecost weekend. Today, Pinkpop is a 3 day festival, from Saturday to Monday, and visited by approximately 60,000 people a day. In 35 years, 1.5 million people have attended Pinkpop. More than 500 musical acts have played at the festival.

Next edition will be at Saturday June 11th, Sunday June 12th and Monday June 13th 2011. During these three days PINKPOP will proudly presents 40 bands on three stages. This edition will be shown again live on Dutch National radio and television. Pre-sale will start Saturday, March 19 2011

In 41 years the festival was sold out 21 times, with a capacity of 60.000 spectators per day. Since 1970 more than 1,9 million people visited the festival and more than 500 acts played at the Pinkpop festival.
